What is Organic Cotton and Why Does it Matter?

Organic cotton is a softer, cleaner and safer version of regular cotton. Consider the fact that regular cotton uses nearly $2.6 billion in pesticides every year, which translates into 10% of the world's pesticides and nearly 25% of the world’s insecticides (Source: Pesticide Action Network North America). Unlike regular cotton, organic cotton is harvested without the toxic pesticides that pollute the environment and jeopardize the health of cotton farmers. Because our clothes are exclusively made from 100% organic cotton, they contain a softer and smoother texture which results in superior comfort and a cleaner environment.

Eco-Friendly Dyes

Nature89 uses specialized azo-free dyes that do not contain the toxins and harmful chemicals found in conventional garment dyes. Conventional dyes have been known to cause health-related ailments such as skin hypersensitivity and allergies. Our chemical-free dyes sustain the purity of the organic cotton fabrics used in all of our garments.
